Dear PCTEA Union Members:
After many long days of negotiations, PCTEA has come to a tentative contract agreement with The District! We believe that we have made the best possible deal for our members and, importantly, it means continuous raises for years to come.
We will be holding a Special Contract Ratification meeting this Friday May 20, 2022, at Waterfront School #95 (behind City Hall) 95 4th St, Buffalo, NY 14202.
This meeting will be open to all dues paying members as certified by the most recent Dues Checkoff list.
Doors will open at 4:30 and the meeting will start promptly at 4:45 where the Tentative Agreement (new salary charts will be included) will be read in its entirety followed by a brief Q & A period where we will be entertaining questions relevant to the Agreement as read.
After this, the membership will vote on the Agreement by “Splitting the Room” and, if it passes by majority rule, we will have a new contract that will replace our previous one.
We respectfully ask that all members wear a facemask upon entering Waterfront.
All dues paying members will be required to sign in upon entry where you will receive a copy of the Tentative Agreement. From there you will proceed to the auditorium and wait for the meeting to begin.
I would also like to recognize our Negotiation Committe for all of the hard work they put in to make this happen and the dedication they demonstrated during these challenging times. It’s been many years since we have had back-to-back contracts.
